Full of Energy: Enercon Visits Our Fourth Graders

July 20, 2017
Enercon visited our 4th grade and students had a “Nuclear” time learning about power plants! Students learned about CO2 and the importance of emission free energy. They learned that the “U” on the periodic table stands for Uranium which helps to make nuclear energy AND learned about fission. Students made a human chain reaction to show how fission splits atoms and releases energy that is used to produce electricity. 4th graders also built atoms out of toothpicks, marshmallows and raisins. Our 4th grade engineers had a blast thanks to volunteers from Enercon!
