MetLife – DD&BD CFO and Head of Group Benefits FP&A

Brian Kiel is a Vice President in Metlife’s Group Benefits CFO organization. In his current role, Brian serves as the CFO to the Distribution Development & Benefits Delivery organization and is head of Group Benefits FP&A. As CFO, Brian is part of the DD&BD management team providing strategic advice and measuring business performance. As head of FP&A, Brian presides over the Group Benefits financial plan and projections, operational metrics, and financial reporting and analysis.
In his 23 years with MetLife, Brian held several other leadership roles and responsibilities such as serving as the CFO to the Employee Benefits Sales organization. Prior to joining the CFO organization, Brian spent over ten years in Metlife’s Corporate Actuarial Unit leading various reserve valuation teams and holding the distinction of Appointed Actuary to several of Metlife’s subsidiary legal entities.

Brian received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Brian resides in Cedar Knolls and enjoys fishing, gardening, and spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their two children, Michael and Rachel.
