Biography

Mark is an experienced financial services executive who has spent 25 years growing businesses, managing assets, as well as raising and lending capital. He began his career with First Federal Savings and Loan of Rochester and Chase Manhattan in marketing roles growing residential mortgage portfolios. For 20 years, as a Senior Vice President with Merrill Lynch and UBS, he founded and led a 7-person institutional corporate services team that managed $2 billion in assets. His team specialized in managing corporate pension assets and providing structured credit solutions to middle-market companies. While with the UBS Private Wealth Management Group, Mark and his team provided investment and risk management services to some of the firm’s wealthiest clients, specializing in management of alternative investment portfolios. Before co-founding 36th Street Capital in 2014, he was the president of Durham Capital Advisors which consults to private equity firms, family offices and lower middle market companies providing business development, fundraising and strategic advice. At Durham, he built relationships with approximately 40 family offices and has facilitated a number of direct private equity transactions.

Mr. Horan received his B.A. in Communications from Bethany College.
