Biography

Virginie Delwart serves as Director Advocacy and Strategic Alliances for the US Ophthalmics Franchise at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. She works with the patient advocacy groups and professional healthcare associations to address the unmet needs of patients living with retinal and dry eye diseases. Prior to her current role, Virginie was responsible for the advocacy strategy and efforts in cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Virginie’s experience in Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy at Johnson & Johnson, Janssen and now Novartis convinced her of the power of partnering to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Virginie holds masters in International Relations and Germanic Philology from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve and the University of Leuven (Belgium) as well as a Business Administration Master from the Solvay Business School (Belgium). She lives with her husband, Ben, and their 2 children, Alex and Gabby, in Berkeley Heights. Ben and Virginie are both proud members of the Berkeley Heights Rescue Squad where they volunteer and respond as EMTs to 911 calls.
