About this course

Early Childhood Resiliency Team (ECRT) – Preschool Crisis Intervention Services

Our innovative model, providing consultation services to more than a dozen early childcare centers throughout Morris County, is designed to build a culture of resilience, strengthen young children’s protective factors and reduce risk factors that hinder healthy social and emotional development. Our team of early childhood and mental health professionals have one main goal – to provide the necessary resources to early care and education providers and the families they serve. We do this through proven promotion, prevention and intervention activities.

Promotion Activities include:

  • Providing families information on social and emotional child development and how to create a home environment that supports their well-being
  • Supporting staff in creating a more pro-social learning environment.

Prevention & Intervention activities include:

  • Model and coach effectives strategies for teaching young children appropriate social skills and behaviors
  • Provide crisis intervention services for staff regarding a child’s behavior and support plan
