Friends of
the Blind

Friends of the Blind is a unique and impactful program for both our visually impaired clients and the volunteers who serve them! The gratifying Friends of the Blind volunteer experience goes beyond working one-on-one with an individual to help with tasks like reading mail or getting groceries. FOB volunteers form friendships, share joys and make a difference in the life and well-being of another deserving individual!

Client needs are evaluated and tailored support is provided in two meaningful ways:

Education and training on assistive devices, available services, and resource referrals

Connection to a carefully selected volunteer to provide help, companionship, and outing opportunities for recreational and cultural events.
