The Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years of experience, and the algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Out of approximately 32,000 nominations, more than 4,000 advisors received the award. This ranking is not indicative of advisor’s future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of individual clients’ experience. As founder of Schaffer AR, a boutique consulting agency, Robin advises B2B technology companies on go-to-market strategy, market positioning, and analyst relations. Her clients range from early-stage startups to global enterprises including Amazon, AWS, Accenture, and OpenAI. She is also the author of Analysts on Analyst Relations and conducts research in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh Business School.
Beyond her professional work, Robin has dedicated more than two decades to nonprofit service. As a long-term board member of the Folk Project — a Morris County nonprofit serving local musicians and community audiences — she led a board-level turnaround following significant pandemic-era decline. Taking on cross-functional responsibility across marketing, programming, fundraising, and operations, she drove measurable results: concert attendance doubled, new membership grew by 75%, and the organization rebuilt its financial footing and community presence.
That experience taught her that the same rigor and creativity that drives business growth can transform a nonprofit — and that mission-driven organizations deserve both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
Robin is drawn to organizations working directly with families because she believes access to resources and support shouldn’t depend on circumstance. She brings to any board a clear strategic lens, a track record of getting things done, and genuine investment in the communities she serves.
She lives in New Jersey and is actively involved in her local community.
