Biography

Bethany A. Abele is a partner at Morristown-based law firm Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP.  She practices in Riker Danzig’s Commercial Litigation Group, where she focuses her practice on title insurance, banking and real estate litigation. 

Bethany currently serves as the President of the Morris County Bar Foundation and First Vice-President of the Morris County Bar Association.  She is also a member of the Morris County Bar Association’s Women Lawyers Committee, Civil Practice Committee, Chancery Committee and Financial Services Committee. She currently serves as Chair of the Bar Association’s Golf Committee and previously served as the Co-Chair of the Women Lawyers Committee.  Bethany is a member of the Lafayette College Alumni Interfraternity and Sorority Board and is an Alumni Admissions Representative for the College.  She is also a member of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association and CREWNJ.

Bethany was named one of the NJBIZ Forty Under 40 recipients for 2017 and was named a “New Leader of the Bar” in 2016 by the New Jersey Law Journal.  Bethany has been included on the Best Lawyers list (Commercial Litigation) of Best Lawyers in America®, a peer review of U.S. lawyers, and has also been included on the Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list for Business Litigation.  No aspect of this advertisement has been approved by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

Bethany earned her B.A. degree from Lafayette College, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and earned her J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law, cum laude
