Joseph Visaggio is Executive Director of Novartis Patient Assistance Programs at Novartis Corporation and serves as Vice President of the Novartis Patient Assistance Foundation Inc.

In his role, Joe oversees the operations and strategic direction of Novartis US Patient Assistance Programs and is responsible for Independent Charitable Copay Foundation disease program support under the Corporate Responsibility department. Joe also serves as a member of the Novartis US Foundation Advisory Council.

In his 16 years with Novartis, Joe has been responsible for financial assistance programs, as well as the Patient Assistance Now resource, that assist uninsured and underinsured patients in accessing their Novartis medications. Joe previously led Novartis US philanthropic contributions strategy to support workplace giving and employee volunteer programs, and supported Novartis’ participation with the Together Rx and Together Rx Access multi-manufacturer consortium prescription savings programs.

Prior to joining Novartis in 2002, Joe held various roles in Sales, Marketing, and Operations at General Electric Company and American Home Products. He is a current Board member of Cornerstone Family Programs, and is a member of the Association of Corporate Contributions Professionals and the Council of NJ Grantmakers.

Joe received a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Montclair State University.
