Mark P. Cantaluppi
Mark P. Cantaluppi, CPA is an accomplished Chief Financial Officer with 25+ years of experience at publicly traded and private companies. Areas of expertise include accounting, financial reporting, finance, governance, risk management, benefits, investor relations, and acquisitions.He played a central role in building one of the most respected brands in U.S. commercial real estate. Mark has a strong record of financial and operational success while engaging the financial community, equity investors, the board of directors, and its committees.
In February 2020, Mark became the Chief Financial Officer of Alliant Technologies, LLC dba TenFour. TenFour is a private equity backed organization that provides IT infrastructure as a service to its clients.
From May 2007 to November 2018, Mark served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Reis, Inc. (NASDAQ: REIS). Reis provides commercial real estate market information and analytic tools to professionals that have capital at risk in commercial real estate in the U.S. During his tenure, he oversaw the firm’s valuation growth from $90 million to $278 million upon the sale of Reis to Moody’s Corporation, and returned cash to shareholders in the form of dividends and stock repurchases aggregating $41 million, resulting in an IRR of nearly 12% from May 30, 2007 to October 15, 2018.
Prior to Reis, Mark served its public company predecessor, Wellsford Real Properties, Inc. (AMEX: WRP) in roles with increasing scope from November 1999 to May 2007. Wellsford was a real estate merchant banking firm that owned or invested in commercial and residential real estate and real estate related businesses. He was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from March 2006 to May 2007, Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, and Director of Investor Relations from December 2000 to March 2006, and Vice President, Controller, and Director of Investor Relations from November 1999 to December 2000.
From January 1998 to November 1999, Mark was a Financial Reporting Manager at Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE: VNO), a diversified Real Estate Investment Trust. He ultimately became the Assistant Controller of External Reporting. From September 1993 to January 1998, Mark worked at Ernst & Young LLP, a public accounting firm. He started his career as assurance staff and ultimately attained the level of manager. Clients included both public and private organizations, with industry experience spanning real estate, manufacturing, insurance, and not-for-profit.
Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA). He graduated cum laude from Villanova University.
